Who are we?
We are a Lutheran congregation which was founded in 1962. We spent our first two years worshiping at the Latrobe Roller Garden and having Bible studies in the homes of various parishioners until our first building was completed in the Lawson Heights neighborhood in Unity Township in 1964. Our current Sanctuary was completed in 1979.
Through our faith in Jesus Christ, much hard work and with a great deal of determination, Prince of Peace has come from a group of believers with a dream 1962 to today and a congregation filled with the Holy Spirit to bring the continue to bring the Gospel to our community through our words and our deeds.

What do we believe?
Lutherans believe in the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created and loves all of creation -- the earth and the seas and all of the world’s inhabitants. We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that God's Spirit is active in the world.
We are part of God’s unfolding plan. When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere. When we study the Bible or hear God’s word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God’s own saving story. We celebrate the saving grace of God in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and when we take part in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, we see the love and grace of God revealed to us through Real Presence of Christ in bread and wine.
The convictions shared by Christians from many different traditions are expressed in statements of belief called creeds. These ecumenical creeds that Lutherans affirm and use in worship confess the faith of the church through the ages and around the world.
We strive to Make Christ Known to the world and proclaim his saving love to each person whose lives we touch.
