We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and its Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod. We are a family-oriented congregation that is faithful and has relevant worship and a strong sense of mission in doing community outreach. Within the setting of worship, our church family gathers to praise God and equip ourselves for its mission in the world.
Worship at Prince of Peace is centered on Word and Sacrament Ministry, the Word of Jesus Christ in the Holy Scriptures preached and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion celebrated in the context of the Word of God. Holy Communion is celebrated each week at all services. We believe that when we receive the bread and wine during the Sacrament of Holy Communion that we are receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through His Real Presence. All Baptized Christians who believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Sacrament are welcome to receive this gift of God at Prince of Peace.
